AFTER AWAKENING, JOIN THE PARTY

Before the planetary lockdown we could relax into our awakening process and let it unfold like a flower taking its time to bloom. Relaxing is still a very wise approach but there is a new kid in town and his name is transformation. Urgent transformation. We have heard many times that transforming the world begins with each of us individually engaging in our own process of realization. And, of course, that is still true, but the emphasis has shifted. In this current manifestation of the eternal now we are moved by circumstance to not only see and feel our inter-connectedness , but we may very well have no option. To casually focus on our own spiritual work , to happily walk our own path at own pace is to miss the obvious opportunity to engage directly with the truth of “We are all One”. We are all in this together!

Non-duality plays a vital role in this endeavor. Perhaps the most central principle of non-duality, supported by ancient wisdom traditions and contemporary sciences such as quantum physics is that consciousness is the Prime Element of all existence, that consciousness is the source of all that is, has been or ever will be. It expresses energy and intelligence. In its formless, nameless state we can call it the unified field, the Tao, Ultimate Truth, Spirit, or any name of God we choose. Another central principle of non-duality is that the name really doesn’t matter. In fact seeing the ultimate limitation of conceptual language, as important as some of it may be, opens us to the vast expansiveness of a direct experience of this Source Consciousness. The core word is Unity. It means one, things that are unified are one, a unit. All life on this planet shares the simple, observable fact of being alive. All living beings make up an incredibly diverse collection of forms, yet, we all share that mysterious spark of animating life force. Our bodies respond to intelligent information that makes one being a human and another being an ant. We can even begin to see that every thing that exists is unfolding in an infinite field of possibility which unfolds in Source Consciousness. To say that everything IS God would likely be misleading , but to say that everything that exists is a manifestation of the One Consciousness leads to a simple observation, that all existence is the product of energy and intelligence. One energy, one intelligence. So, we can say, and more importantly see and feel that there is “no not God”. In other words, ”All is One”. Not just a bumper sticker slogan, but a fundamental truth to be realized.

Of course, I have written many words, which are limited. But I want to inspire you to awaken from the dream of separation, to awaken fully and then more fully and to see clearly how your unique gifts can be shared with the world. So, this is why we need to meditate. To turn inward and open to the truth of our nature. There is a divine spark in the center of your heart. It is the recognition of the Presence of your essence. In the silent stillness, with the body and mind relaxed, we can all, with some degree of patient effort, experience the energy, the love, the peace and joy of the Divine frequency. Way beyond conceptual belief. We encounter this wonder in the depth of our being, all the way down into the bone marrow. After this there is no doubt, no fear. I came across a line in the classic book “Science of Mind” by Ernest Holmes. It stated that” The denial of the Divine is our only problem”. Certainly there is much work to be done on so many levels and each challenge is begging for fresh creative solutions, but, I agree with Ernest Holmes. If we can embrace the indwelling divinity that we, in essence are, then we have a new energy, a new intelligence, a direct access to the Creative Mind of God. We have a new power!

So, let’s join the party. A work party for sure but also a celebration of the profound magnificence arising within us as we dance with the Divine, as the Divine. As we express joy, love and compassion we radiate the Unity Presence into this blessed world. Come on, let’s dance!
